US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that US troops could withdraw from Iran within two or three weeks, indicating the possibility of the end of the military campaign, which is entering its one-month mark, and the rise in fuel prices worldwide.

In a speech delivered during an executive order signing ceremony held at the White House, Trump said, “All I have to do is leave Iran, and they won’t have a problem.” He also said this might occur soon.

In a previous statement, he said the war would last less than five weeks, and this prediction is about to come true.

Trump said the recent strikes were highly effective, as the US military has made significant damage to Iran’s ability to produce weapons. I

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Mr. Trump is planning to give an address to the nation on Wednesday evening to give further updates on the situation.

Earlier, the Pentagon authorities refused to disclose when Operation Epic Fury, which has so far included strikes on over 11,000 locations in Iran, would be completed.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the ongoing military pressure is aimed at pushing Iran toward a negotiated agreement, while leaving open the option for continued action if talks do not materialize.

Trump also expressed cautious optimism about a diplomatic resolution but maintained that the military campaign has already significantly weakened Iran’s capabilities. He claimed it could take years for the country to rebuild its military infrastructure, though such assessments remain unverified.

Lawmakers from the Democratic Party have criticized the administration’s decision to proceed without congressional authorization, raising concerns about both the legal justification and the clarity of the mission’s objectives.
