More than just a glamorous all-white affair, the 5th Annual Gala highlighted the growing influence of African-led organizations that are redefining entertainment through community engagement, philanthropy, and cultural storytelling.

Founded by Sanpha Olalus Kamara, Olalus Entertainment continues to transform how audiences experience entertainment by blending immersive live events with digital storytelling, podcasts, and cultural programming that strengthen the connection between artists and their audiences.

Hosted by the charismatic duo Sonia “Barbie” Tucker and DJ Versatile, the evening featured a lively red carpet hosted by media personalities Fatima “Young Oprah” Sesay, Precious Amabel, and Michelle, while DJ Debbie and DJ Buka kept guests dancing throughout the night.

A New Chapter: Introducing the Olalus Foundation

One of the evening’s most powerful moments came with the official presentation of the Olalus Foundation, introduced by the Event Coordinator Fatima D of FD Events & Designs LLC, acclaimed Sierra Leonean entertainer Rozzy Sokota, and Mohamed Sillah.

The newly launched nonprofit aims to empower vulnerable communities through education, opportunity, and humanitarian service.

“Our mission is to provide the platform, the tools, and the community needed to unlock that brilliance. Whether it’s a woman rebuilding her life after incarceration or a child navigating the world with a disability, we are here to say: Your potential is limitless,” said founder Sanpha Olalus Kamara.

The foundation’s mission received a standing ovation from attendees, reinforcing the event’s commitment to creating lasting impact beyond entertainment.
